OBS 31.1 is our first release with Windows on Arm (WoA) support. Windows on Arm support in OBS is experimental and does not support all our standard features at this time. To add a webcam to your stream, add a Video Capture Source to your scene.

OBS Studio

Create scenes made up of multiple sources including window captures, buy xanax without prescrition images, text, browser windows, webcams, capture cards and more. Set hotkeys for nearly every sort of action, such as switching between scenes, starting/stopping streams or recordings, muting audio sources, push to talk, and more. If the Start Virtual Camera button isn't showing in the Controls dock, follow these instructions to install the virtual camera. You can also remove the virtual camera if it conflicts with other software.

The virtual camera component in OBS 29.1 and earlier is not compatible with macOS 14 ("Sonoma") at all. If you require the virtual camera to work, update to OBS 30.0 (or newer) or stay on macOS 13 ("Ventura"). The virtual camera will be installed when you first click on Start Virtual Camera. If your distro is not already set up to install Flatpaks, you can follow the instructions here. Studio Mode lets you preview your scenes and sources before pushing them live. Adjust your scenes and sources or create new ones and ensure they're perfect before your viewers ever see them.
If you'd like to enable virtual camera in native ARM64 apps, doing so will disable virtual camera in emulated x64 apps. There's an installation script included, but it has not been modified to support ARM. By default, the virtual camera is not enabled on portable builds even though 32-bit, 64-bit, and ARM virtual camera DLLs are included.

Install or remove the virtual camera

You can then position and resize it, or apply filters such as the Chroma Key Filter to remove a greenscreen. Set up an unlimited number of scenes you can switch between seamlessly via custom transitions. Download and start streaming quickly and easily on Windows, Mac or Linux. More work on our side is required to properly support both x64 and ARM64 at the same time.

This feature is particularly useful for applications that cannot capture the screen directly. Follow the instructions at the left, but use virtualcam-uninstall.bat (note the un) instead. The macOS release of OBS Studio supports macOS 12.0 and newer. The Windows release of OBS Studio supports Windows 10 and 11.
The version of the virtual camera component used for macOS 12 and prior may be incompatible with some applications. OBS Studio 30.0 and higher running on macOS 13 ("Ventura") and higher include a new virtual camera component that is compatible with all Mac applications. Choose from a number of different and customizable transitions for when you switch between your scenes or add your own stinger video files. To start the virtual camera, click Start Virtual Camera in the Controls dock. To stop the virtual camera, click the same button again (which will be labelled Stop Virtual Camera).
