Check your email for a notice with details about the issue and steps to resolve it. Common issues include policy violations or missing account information. Your account has an issue and is operating with reserved functionality, therefore your products have limited visibility. For most violations, we'll send you a warning email detailing the policy violation and give you 7 or 28 calendar days to fix your issue. However, a warning may not be issued for egregious policy violations. Content that follows our policies but isn't appropriate for all audiences is age-restricted.
It's important that you familiarize yourself with and keep up to date on these requirements for the place where your business operates, as well as any other places your ads are shown. We may also terminate your channel or account after a single case of severe abuse or when the channel is dedicated to a policy violation. We may prevent repeat offenders from taking policy training in the future. If we can't verify that a link that you post is safe, we may remove the link. Note that violative URLs posted within the video itself or in the video's metadata may result in the video being removed.
The SafeSearch setting isn’t designed to filter explicit content that has significant artistic, educational, historical, documentary, or scientific value. Sexually explicit content featuring minors and content that sexually exploits minors is not allowed on YouTube. We report content containing child sexual abuse imagery to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, who work with global law enforcement agencies.

Turn Restricted Mode on or off on YouTube

Below is more detail about the types of content we consider for age-restriction. If your content contains one or more of these themes, we may age-restrict. Click through the policy sections for examples illustrating these themes. The tool will assess whether an administrator set up these restrictions, or if they are on your personal account. If more help is needed, the tool will guide you toward the next step for troubleshooting.

This feature can help screen out potentially mature content that you or others using your devices may prefer not to view.
The same applies to depictions of sex scenes in artistic content such as films, audio stories, music or video games. For example, a film with a sex scene may be allowed if it included details such as the name of the film, director, actors in the video content and in the video description. Remember that giving context in the content, title, and description will help us and your viewers determine the primary purpose of the video. In most cases, violent, graphic, or humiliating fetishes are not allowed on YouTube. SafeSearch tries to filter out inappropriate content, like adult content, from showing up in your search results. While no filter is 100% accurate, turning this setting on helps you avoid inappropriate content when you search.
