Hugh Jackman - Sexiest Man of the Year – is back in his career-making and fan-favorite invulnerable adamantium-laced claw-sharpening mutant. I’m sold on the support characters alone – this movie should be tons of fun – but will the story be any g
It is now 1985 and masked vigilantes have been outlawed by the government for almost 15 years; Richard Nixon is in his 5th term as President, and the world is on the brink of a nuclear war between the United States and Rus
I'm surprised that the "ultimate" cut only runs 15 minutes longer than the director's cut. Is the stand-alone version of Tales of The Black Freighter that is being released on March 24, 2009 , going to feature scenes that WON'T be included in the "ultimate cut" Watchmen DVD/Blu-ray? It certainly seems like it. Damn, that means I'll have to watch Tales of The Black Freighter if I want to get the whole Watchmen experience. Slick move, Warner Bros. Slick move indee
This mystery is in fact the crux of the film - we follow Rorschach through his investigation and along the line we meet other ex-heroes Nite Owl II/Dan Dreiberg (Patrick Wilson) and Silk Spectre II/Laurie Jupiter (Malin Akerman). Dan lives a quiet, lonely life (he comes across as a bit of a geek) while Laurie has a relationship with the one true superhero movie games updates|Https://Superheromoviespot.com/ in the story: Dr. Manhattan (Billy Crudup). Things are strained between Laurie and Dr. Manhattan, as he is slipping farther and farther away from humanity due to his god-like powers and intell
Synopsis: Jack Black stars in this re-imagining of the classic tale. Lemuel Gulliver, a free-spirited travel writer on an assignment to the Bermuda Triangle, suddenly finds himself a giant among men when he washes ashore on the hidden island of Lilliput, home to a population of industrious, yet tiny, peo
Up until now there's been unofficial speculation that the Watchmen DVD/Blu-ray would feature an extended cut of the film--one that possibly included Tales of The Black Freighter , Watchmen 's animated story-within-a-story, interwoven with the live-action film much as it was in the original graphic no
Most importantly, Robert Downey Jr. provides a second act to his performance as Sgt. Lincoln Osiris that puts the This Is Spinal Tap commentary in the gutter. Downey constantly refers to situations on set as the actor playing the dude disguised as the other dude, staying true to that acting dude's in-movie remark that he doesn't drop character until after the DVD comment
I laughed quite a lot in the actual movie, but the laughter was almost non-stop in the commentary, ultimately leading to watery eyes and a confused neighbor who knocked on my door asking what's so funny. If you still need a reason to rent or buy Tropic Thunder , the commentary is absolutely
If there was ever a film that was suited to the twisted vision of Tim Burton, this is it. I'm not the biggest Burton fan and some of what I've seen in the trailer doesn't quite work for me (the Red Queen's head is so huge it looks cartoonish), but overall this is bound to be a feast for the senses and probably the closest a screen version will get to the source mater
You may be wondering how Conan the Barbarian made this list. Well, you're just going to have to trust me. This is the second funniest commentary you'll ever hear. And it's hardly on purpose. Not only does Arnold Schwarzenegger's voice always evoke laughter from me, but he may very well be on some drugs. The first lines of this commentary provide reason enough to give this DVD a chance. There's even a drinking game to enjoy throughout. I actually bought it solely for the director and actor audio track. If buying it isn't part of your idea of a good time, simply watch this collection of mome
Whoa, that "In-Movie Experience" sounds crazy futuristic. So the first version of the Watchmen DVD/Blu-ray (featuring the theatrical cut and the 3 hour 10 minute director's cut) will hit stores in late July, around the time San Diego Comic Con kicks off. The second version of the DVD/Blu-ray (featuring the director's cut of the film spliced with the Black Freighter scenes) will hit stores in the fall of 2009, date
Synopsis: Kevin Bacon's beloved '80s film Footloose gets a musical reboot with this Paramount Pictures production. Gossip Girl's Chace Crawford steps into the shoes of Kevin Bacon in the lead role after Zac Efron left the product
Overall, what this story is about is showing how really messed up in the head people who put on bizarre costumes to go out and beat up bad guys would be if they actually existed in the real world. We're talking about your next door neighbor putting on a batsuit complete with mask and cape, going downtown and beating up people so badly that they had to go to the hospital. Sure, it sounds good in a comic book or a movie, but would you really want to live next door to that guy? Would you really feel s
