The Wii U can’t compete with the PS4 and Xbox One as is. Basically a PS3/ Xbox 360, the Wii U came too late, and despite having the best first-party lineup in 2014, has failed to keep up with PS4 and Xbox One. It’s time for Nintendo to get on, or at least close to Sony and Microsoft’s level. The New Wii U could be a game changer with more power, a new elegant design, and the adoption of a more traditional controller. Perhaps it could be enough to draw back third-party publishers. We can’t expect a new console yet, but an update (like the New 3DS) could turn around the Wii U’s fortunes.

Communication plays a vital role in this game. As of 2018, League of Legends has introduced the voice-chat system in which players can interact globally with each other rather than type it out in the chat box. A pro player always communicates with pings and the map during the time when a player is missing on the map or the enemy is coming your way and mainly to secure an objective. You can help your teammate from tilting as well as by guiding them to what they need to do in order to win the game. With so many different facets to the gameplay and interacting with the environment, the number of systems and mechanics at play in Red Dead Redemption 2 is staggering, and in some instances can even sound a little overwhelming. However, after having hands-on time with the game and first-hand experience with these mechanics, these touches truly feel like meaningful ways to make Red Dead Redemption 2 feel alive and dynamic, for the players that really want to go deeper into it. As Rockstar emphasized to us during the demo, these more survival-driven mechanics aren't meant to feel like "chores" that the player has to do -- they're optional -- but instead to develop that idea that Arthur is truly a part of this world and more than just a vehicle for players to explore what it has to offer.

Sometimes the game itself isn’t helpful on champions and runes or maps itself. At times like these, one should start to look for a guide. For example sites such as Mobalytics, the summoner school subreddit and Lolking are highly preferred. With enough time and bonding, you can even unlock more advanced riding tricks and techniques, such as rearing, drifting, and a quick turn ability. Where cars and other vehicles in Grand Theft Auto are fairly disposable, Red Dead Redemption 2 creates a more genuine relationship between the player and their horse, and given that I had a few close calls with my own horse, Marble, out on the road that almost led to its death, I would have been heartbroken at his loss if that happened.

2014 got a pass because not a lot of original content for PS4 and Xbox One was being released until the final quarter of the year. 2015 is different, because now we’re starting to see development for these new platforms ramp up. There’s no need to see teams waste their time to bring games only a few years old to these new consoles. Already we have DmC: Devil May Cry Definitive Edition, Devil Mary Cry 4: Special Edition, Saints Row IV: Re-Elected, Dead or Alive 5: Last Round, and Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster among others. Now there are some exceptions for games that were only released on one platform (Resident Evil Remake HD), or games you can’t get anymore because they’re so old (Grim Fandago: Remastered). Other than these few exceptions, enough is enough!

At the PlayStation Experience we learned that a new God of War game is in development, but that we might have to wait another year. However, that doesn’t mean we won’t get a teaser. God of War III’s teaser trailer went live June 2008, a full two years before the game hit store shelves. It’s been five years since we’ve gotten a proper God of War game, and many are itching to know what’s going to happen in Kratos’ next outing. Hopefully we’ll get a few hints in 2015.

As the newest of the five films curated here, There Will Be Blood doesn't quite fall in line with the more traditional "Westerns" that you might expect. Back in 2007 we were all tired of World War II, and the jump to Modern Warfare was fresh and exciting. The opposite is true today. We’re tired of Modern Warfare and semi-Future Warfare. It’s time for FPS games to try something new, by going into the past. Rumors have been floating around for a while now that Treyarch’s next Call of Duty game would return to Open World Games Guide War II, something I very much hope for. We need a change, and sometimes that change can be found by returning to your roots.
