It wasn’t that they needed to purchase a piece of DLC to earn Dead Man’s Tale that bugged them. It was Bungie’s strategy of bundling older seasons into a Digital Deluxe version of Beyond Light that made my friend immediately disinterested. They felt forced to pay for content they had no interest in to access a weapon that looked cool to them. That price tag surely didn’t help either.

You must complete a Dawning Quest before the weapon is available.

Dawning weapons have refreshed perk pools - We talk about this more in-depth in our Best Rolls section . Glacioclasm, Cold Front, and Avalanche now have new perks to ch

Dawning ingredients drop from just about every slain enemy, although the type of ingredient that drops will depend on what the enemy type is and what weapon you are using. If you need a kickstart of ingredients, hop into dense Lost Sectors like the Tangled Shore's Kingship Dock or Europa's Perdition. Popular kill farms—such as the Thrall hallway in the Shattered Throne dungeon or the Shuro Chi encounter in the Last Wish raid—are also great places to get a quick stockpile of ingredie

For PvP, consistency is what you'll want. Opt for a scope with good range and zoom (SPO-28 Front being a great choice), Surplus for an absurd boost to stability and handling, and Tap the Trigger to keep the gun stable when burst fi

**Updated January 26th, 2022, by Charles Burgar: ** Warmind Cells saw a massive nerf towards the end of Year 4, making this mechanic fall into obscurity. While they can't single-handedly clear dungeon encounters for you now, Warmind Cells provide excellent utility and add-clear for Destiny's hardest content. If you hate juggling the Charged with Light mechanic and hate picking up Elemental Wells, you might want to give Warmind Cells a try. We've updated this article to reflect recent ne

Not explicitly clear in-game, Forerunner is a Special Kinetic Sidearm that features enhanced hip-fire accuracy. Aiming with this weapon deploys a short-range scope, just like the Halo: Combat Evolved Magnum. The weapon holds 12 rounds in the magazine with 60 in reserves. You start with eight rounds in PvP and recover two ammo from slain Guardians—four if you have a Sidearm Scavenger mod. PvE ammo bricks grant around +20 ammo, similar to how Eriana's Vow works. Sidearm mods, such as Sidearm Targeting and Surprise Attack , work with Forerun

For this step, you'll need to complete three Starhorse bounties. Weekly bounty completions from Starhorse give additional progress for this step. You can obtain Starhorse bounties from the Starhorse NPC at Xur's Treasure Trove at the cost of a few Strange Coins per bounty. Each of these challenges will require kills using a certain weapon or ability and a point threshold you'll need to reach during a Dares of Eternity match . Daily bounties require 160,000 points, while weekly bounties require anywhere from 180,000 to 300,000 poi

Even if the Orb mods turn out to be a great change, there’s still one more aspect of mod bloat that needs to change: acquiring mods. Unlocking mods in Destiny is wholly tied to RNG. If you are looking for a specific ammo finder mod, you’ll need to get lucky by decrypting Engrams or hope Ada-1 sells it one day. You shouldn’t bet on the latter, as Ada-1’s mod inventory has gotten so bloated that it can take multiple months before she sells what you need. Worse, she’s your only source of Charged with Light and Warmind Cell mods. If you want to make a Firepower grenade build or use Protective Light, you need to check her inventory every single day and hope she eventually sells it. Better hope you don’t miss it, or you’ll be waiting months for another chance.

You can obtain Combat Style mods from the Libtoc blog Ada-1 in the Tower. She will sell up to two random Combat Style mod each day for 10,000 Glimmer. Since Warmind Cells use Combat Style mods, there's a good chance she'll be selling a Warmind Cell mod. Keep an eye on her inventory each day to see if she has a Warmind Cell mod in stock that you don't
