The heartbroken father told Fox19: 'This is one of our worst nightmares. When we were setting up we were saying somebody's world is going to be turned upside down tonight. I didn't know it was mine or my charter bus family reunions Brooklyn's.'

Tyler was reportedly on his way back from friend's party on February 14 when he and his cousin decided to go to downtown Binghamton.

Both men then decided to split ways and went off with different friend groups and shortly after, Tyler was killed.

Mother Shanay Beschorner told the channel in-between sobs: 'The horrible thing is that he [Cory] works for the DOT, so he is the one who did the road closure, not knowing it was our son.'

She also said that everyone who saw Tyler minutes before the incident said he was normal and described him as a 'happy-go-lucky guy'.

'I don't want to hold hate and I don't want to be angry because it's not going to change anything or bring him back,' she said.

The Binghamton Police Department have said they are still investigating Tyler Beschorner's death and asked people to come forward with any information they may have
