The story follows Jesse’s quest to free herself, and amidst this harrowing ordeal, she has to deal with some very uncomfortable memories that will surely shock the viewers. An expertly crafted film, ‘Gerald’s Game’ is a testament to Flanagan’s unflinching approach towards the horror genre. Alain Guiraudie's movie is one of the most critically-acclaimed queer movies of the last decade, and probably one of the most thought-provoking sex movies in this list. The movie follows a woman from her first sexual experience to a life of intimate encounters of all kinds, as she is determined to discover all the ways her body can find pleasure. She is addicted to it, as the title suggests, but soon that brings some not-so-pleasurable consequences to her life.

Stars Yootha Wong-Loi-Sing and Kofi Siriboe radiate with sensual, soul-mate chemistry as Stevie, a law student, and Isaiah, a rising painter. Throughout the 90-minute reel, the two can hardly keep their hands off one another. The data is only saved locally (on your computer) and never transferred to us. David Cronenberg gave us a different kind of erotic thriller, one where the objects of desire are car crashes and the nasty scars they leave behind. In the peak of erotic thrillers in the late '80s and early '90s, Basic Instinct stood out as a provocative box-office hit. Written and directed by John Cameron Mitchell, Shortbus is one of those rare movies with unsimulated sex, and it's brilliant.
