Levitra (vardenafil) is a brand name medication used to treat symptoms of erectile dysfunction (ED), a condition which affects millions of people worldwide. Medicines are sometimes prescribed for conditions other than those described in patient information leaflets. Do not use Levitra for a condition for which it was not prescribed. Do not give Levitra to other people, even if they have the same symptoms that you have. Levitra is often compared to other PDE5 inhibitors like Viagra (Sildenafil) and Cialis (Tadalafil).

Before you begin using the medication, follow your doctor’s instructions and read the patient information provided with the medication package. The majority of men will notice a firmer, longer-lasting erection.

In the rare event you have a painful or prolonged erection lasting 4 or more hours, stop using this drug and get medical help right away, or permanent problems could occur. Headache, flushing, stuffy/runny nose, or dizziness may occur. Vision changes such as increased sensitivity to light, blurred vision, or trouble telling blue and green colors apart may also occur.
The recommended starting dose of vardenafil for most people is 10 mg taken about an hour before sexual activity.
